Rock For A Reason 

Join More Than Capable for an eve of live music, great food, exciting raffles, and community, all while supporting adults with developmental differences and all abilities.  Every ticket purchased helps fund our programs.  This year's fundraiser also supports our goal of purchasing a More Than Capable transportation van, allowing us to provide safe, reliable transportation for participants attending our programs,and opportunities.

Participants will explore a variety of movement activities, including but not limited to dance, walking, chair yoga, stretching, and exercises using resistance bands, and more. This class encourages participants to try different types of movement, improve flexibility, build strength, and have fun while staying active in a supportive and engaging environment.

This fun and interactive class helps participants build friendships, strengthen social skills, and connect with others in a welcoming environment. Participants will enjoy coffee, tea, conversation, and group walks, along with a variety of games and activities including Uno, checkers, bocce, badminton, putting, cornhole, and more.

Through friendly competition, teamwork, and meaningful interactions, participants will build confidence, practice communication skills, and create lasting connections

This fun hands-on workshop introduces participants to the basics of podcasting in a fun and engaging way. Participants will learn interviewing skills, in a class as well at community locations, and opportunities to engage with members of the community, building communication, confidence, and creative expression through podcasting. They will also learn how to create the set including lighting, camera work, and set design. No prior experience is required.

Create, Connect, and explore at your own pace.  Looking for a fun and relaxing creative outlet? Join us for Creative Connections, a welcoming class that combines a guided art or craft project with extra time to draw, paint, craft, and explore your own creative interests while enjoying the company of others.  OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Participants will engage in interactive music activities, including drum circles, musical storytelling, and collaborative rhythm exercises, learning new instruments and Karaoke.

Participants will explore the world of plants while learning about plant design, growing techniques, and care.  They will get hands-on experience working and maintaining a garden as well as hydroponics, vertical planting, raised gardens, and designing planters as well as helping to design and maintain our very own space in the "Peace Garden" at St. Anslems.

Participants will learn basic filming and video production including camera use, iphone, drone framing and storytelling, while creating short videos, films individually and with others.

Participants learn kitchen safety and safe food prep while creating delicious dishes.  They will make meals like lasagna, tacos and charcuterie boards,(just to name few) while exploring flavor, creativity, and hands-on cooking skills in a fun, interactive environment.

This engaging, hands-on class is designed to support adults of all abilities in developing practical life and social skills through event and hospitality planning. Participants learn how to plan their day, organize trips, parties, dinners, and everyday gatherings, while building skills in decision-making, budgeting, organization, and teamwork.  The class also introduces and explores a variety of transportation options.  Participants will gain experience navigating real-world situations, increasing independence and confidence in daily life.
